PROVIDING FRESH RAW MILK AND FREE RANGE EGGS
In 2006 we brought home our first Nubian goats to begin our adventure into raising dairy animals. While raising goats was fun and rewarding, I dreamed to someday have a dairy cow to make our family's dairy products and cheeses.
February of 2023 my good friend reached out to me about a cow she had bought with me in mind, and from her, I purchased our very first Jersey cow Ingrid!

A note about the jars...
As of January 1, 2025 jar deposits will no longer be refundable.
It has added quite a bit of confusion for my customers and myself that I have decided it will be more straightforward to have my customers purchase their first set of jars and lids from me.
The cost of each jar, lid, and label is $5, if you show up to your milk pickup without your jars, please expect to purchase a new set from me. I will not refund any extras you may have that are returned.
I am hopeful this will reduce the amount of jars that are not getting returned, Thank you for your help in this!
OUR SANITATION PRACTICES
We take safety and cleanliness of our products very seriously. To ensure we provide a safe product we begin with the cow. -Each cow is given an annual health check by a veterinarian and blood is drawn to test for Brucellosis, Johnes, Leptospirosis, and Q Fever. We also test our cows annually for tuberculosis.
In preparation for milking, we sanitize all milking equipment and jars/lids with a dairy sanitizer. Each cow's udder is washed with a chlorhexidine udder wash and a small amount of milk is stripped from all four quarters to remove any debris that could have worked its way into the end of the teat. The udder is then dried with a clean towel, and I attach the milking machine. After milking, I pour the milk through a milk filter and into the sanitized jars which then go immediately into an ice and saline solution to rapidly cool before being transferred to the fridge. Each month we perform a test of each cow's milk for E. Coli and aerobic bacteria.
We also do additional testing as needed to ensure we are providing a high quality product with the longest possible shelf life.
I post test results monthly on the "Test results" page.
